Put up the new episode of Comedy Underground 'Jasper and Jones' early for yall to check out. I wrote a loose script and then Michael (MeVIO) and I improved some of it. Enjoy! Oh and don't call that # you see in the video. You'll probably just get some old lady and you'll end up waking her up in the middle of the night and she won't be able to get back to bed that easily and shell wake up with a crick in her neck .. and it will ALL BE YOUR FAULT.

So just tried the UFC Demo and it's pretty damn good. Alike 2K Sports I didn't expect them to break what awesome engine they already had - but simply improve upon it (although some people had a problem with UFC 2's mechanics). For the most part THQ has done an amazing job with these games, and for nerds who are also super fans of the sport it's a dream pairing. Especially because they add a robust career mode on top of it all and it provides that leveling up mechanic that a lot of us crave in ANY game.

This demo allows you to play a match in normal UFC mode as well as a match in Pride (one of the new features this year). The fighting felt great and player specific special moves were added to allow for more dynamic matches. It still has the ref calling TKO's too late (I was beating the ever loving snot out of an ungaurded anderson silva for about 10 seconds before the ref stopped it). It doesn't take me out of the realism tooooo much, but it should've been corrected by now. 

In Pride the boxing ring ropes dissapear when you're close to them sometimes, and that feels a bit odd.

The added hit location and point system at the end of each match is a nice touch. 

The submissions have been flushed out with a pro mode that has you trying to chase down your opponent in a octogon type grid graphic. Although every submission I attempted felt like I wasn't sure how to line up the two sections (or keep them there), and every attempt ended up with me gettin my position reversed and my player ending up on the bottom. 

The english speaking Pride announcer is insane, and I was glad to see them keep the look and feel of how Pride matches were put on. Complete with techno music and a strobe laser show.

Overall I really got pumped to buy this game after the demo was over. And very excited to try out the more flushed out career. They also added a TON of new fighters and im psyched to play as Leonard Garcia. So DEMO's mission ... accomplished.
